Every voter who wants to cast their ballot, should be able to do so. No one should face intimidation or violence while exercising their right to vote, even from law enforcement. So join the Election Protection AZ team as a Poll Defender, and play an integral part in keeping your community safe this General Election.

Poll Defenders are community members we pay and train to de-escalate violence and to defend voters at voting sites. You don't need to have any previous experience, but you do need to have a strong sense of justice and the will to stand up to threats on behalf of your fellow Arizonans. At this 4 hour in-person training, we will teach you critical skills needed to keep our communities and voting rights safe with a brief history of voter suppression and intimidation and roleplays to prepare how to respond to a threat. Together, we can keep our polls and our voters safe!
